The funny thing is, when we were busy with calling people for rescue, one of our friend was busy calling people to take care of his dog. He talked on the phone, "No, no, no...I am not worried about going back home. I am just worried about my dog" ...
After 2 hours sitting by the highway, we finally got people come and took the car and drove us back to downtown Memphis. When we eventually reached home, it was 12pm already, extremely exhausted. When we got St. Louis, there was a commerial on the map, 'One unforgettable experience'. Well, I should say, yeah, it IS unforgettable and I've got alot to tell other people what I experienced and how I felt on this adventurous journey!
I just got back from an appointment ceremony for a judge. I met with the Governor of Tennessee State, Mayer of Memphis city. They are quite kind and gentle. When the Governor knew that I was from Beijing, he said, 'I haven't been to Beijing, but I went to Shanghai. The world expo was great.' I felt so honored of that.
I can understand that, JJ. Some foreigners have strong sense of 'privacy'. Especially in China, people like to see foreigners because they look different, cute or handsome. But they take it as 'stares' which are quite rude and impolite. When I was walking on the downtown area here in America, I got some stares too. I felt so uncomfortable though I know they are not unfriendly, but just curious because of my difference from them.
I watched the World Cup today, Germany vs. Australia. I love German team so much, esp. Kloze. Unfortunately, my favorite star Ballack could not go on the green field which is the biggest regret of their team. However, the new and old team, becomes more delicate and smooth. The cooperation of the team is almost perfect except some indifference. But overall, they did a wonderful job for their opening! Wish they be in the match for the last!
I got a heatstroke yesterday because of the hot and humid weather here. My friend called the Ambulance for me and sent me to hospital. I got full examination of the body and took liquids as well. Nothing was wrong but just the heat and lack of water. It was midnight when I got back.
I got up at 5 o'clock this morning to watch the World Cup, Germany vs. Serbia. I was so disappointed of German team's performance. Though there were many yellow cards, they should not have influenced very much. Anyways, German team is quite young and needs more practice.
